BIOGRAPHY
Karla Duarte is an Expressive Arts Therapist with years of clinical experience in mental health. Her research and work focus on contemplative practices such as deep listening, sound awareness, body awareness, and film therapy.
Karla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Analysis, and Criticism, as well as a Master of Arts in Expressive Arts Therapy with a specialization in film therapy. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Theology to become a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain, aiming to integrate spiritual care methodologies into her practice.
Karla’s creative passion lies in storytelling and filmmaking. She has worked on various documentary projects to raise awareness about issues affecting Hispanic women living in the United States. In her spare time, she enjoys music and is always looking for new tunes to explore.
